Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Recognized as Only North American Venue Nominated for 2026 MONDO-DR Award

July 01 2026

Ponte Vedra Concert Hall received international recognition as the only North American venue shortlisted in the Concert Hall category of the 2026 MONDO-DR Awards, which honor excellence in audio, lighting, video, acoustics, and systems integration throughout the global entertainment technology industry.

Presented by MONDO-DR magazine, an international publication covering technology in entertainment, the MONDO-DR Awards recognize outstanding audio, lighting, video, acoustics, and systems-integration projects from around the world.

The recently renovated venue was shortlisted alongside Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia; Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, Scotland; and Biwako Hall in Shiga, Japan. Together, the four venues represented leading concert hall integration projects from around the world. Additional information about the venues shortlisted in the Concert Hall category is available at www.mondodrawards.com/the-shortlist/.

While Sydney Opera House was named the category winner, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall’s inclusion on the four-venue shortlist secured a significant international distinction for the Northeast Florida venue and placed it among some of the world’s most renowned performance spaces.

“Being shortlisted alongside venues in Australia, Scotland, and Japan places Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in extraordinary international company,” said Gabe Pellicer, CEO & President of SJC Cultural Events, Inc., the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. “As the only North American venue recognized in the category, this distinction speaks to the vision behind the renovation and the expertise of the teams who brought it to life. We aimed to create a venue that could meet the expectations of artists while delivering an exceptional live experience for audiences, and this recognition affirms the success of that vision.”

Ponte Vedra Concert Hall’s nomination highlighted the venue’s comprehensive $12.9 million renovation and reimagining, completed between May 2024 and July 2025. The project introduced a new L-Acoustics sound system, enhanced lighting and production capabilities, improved acoustics and sightlines, expanded seating options, and new artist and audience amenities.

The venue’s audio, lighting, and technical systems were developed in collaboration with WSDG (Walters-Storyk Design Group), a globally recognized leader in acoustics and systems design, and AVL Productions, a Jacksonville-based production company specializing in audio, lighting, video, and staging for live events.

Ponte Vedra Concert Hall reopened in August 2025, beginning a new chapter for the venue and further establishing Northeast Florida as a destination for exceptional live music. For upcoming events at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, visit www.pvconcerthall.com.
