One year after reopening its doors, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is celebrating a remarkable year of live performances, international recognition, and meaningful community programming with the Front & Center Music Showcase, a free evening of live music presented by Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Saturday, August 29.

Featuring performances by Red Magnolia, Lauren Woodall, and Freddie Caicos and the Sunburns, the showcase celebrates the creativity and talent of Northeast Florida’s music community while giving local musicians the opportunity to perform in one of Florida’s premier live music venues.

Admission is free, but tickets must be claimed in advance online. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Local Musicians Take Center Stage

Red Magnolia brings a soulful blend of psychedelic Southern rock, pairing heartfelt lyrics with blues-driven guitar, Hammond organ, and vintage-inspired rhythms.

Singer-songwriter Lauren Woodall blends alternative country and indie rock with emotionally resonant, stream-of-consciousness lyrics. Her music has earned her appearances at festivals and showcases across the United States and internationally.

Freddie Caicos and the Sunburns deliver what they call “Bluewater Country” — weathered, coastal songs inspired by long days offshore and life along Florida’s rugged shoreline.

Internationally recognized by the 2026 MONDO-DR Awards for excellence in audio, acoustics, lighting, and venue technology, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall was the only venue in the Americas to receive this prestigious distinction. Through the Front & Center Music Showcase, these local musicians will perform on the same stage — and be heard through the same world-class sound system — as Graham Nash, Melissa Etheridge, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and hundreds more who have performed at the Concert Hall.

Celebrating an Extraordinary First Year

Ponte Vedra Concert Hall reopened on August 1, 2025, following the completion of a transformative $12.9 million renovation. The reimagined venue introduced expanded seating, improved sightlines, upgraded lighting and production capabilities, an advanced L-Acoustics sound system, new outdoor terraces, an expanded lobby, modernized artist and guest amenities, and an elevated food and beverage program.

In its first year since reopening, the Concert Hall has hosted more than 120 performances and welcomed over 67,000 guests from all 50 states and Canada. Its eclectic lineup has included legendary performers, acclaimed artists, and emerging voices such as Lyle Lovett, Judy Collins, Phantogram, Niko Moon, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, and many more.

The venue also debuted the Sounds of Sawgrass Series in partnership with THE PLAYERS Championship, expanded its community programming through Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, and continued to elevate the guest experience through investments in hospitality, culinary offerings, and venue amenities.

Under the leadership of Food & Beverage Director Edwin Baltzley, the Concert Hall introduced an enhanced food and beverage program that brings Michelin-recognized culinary experience to the venue. The menu features thoughtfully curated offerings inspired by local flavors and designed to complement the live music experience.

Expanding the Power of Music Beyond the Stage

The Front & Center Music Showcase is one of two free signature community programs commemorating the first anniversary of the Concert Hall’s reopening. The programs were created to thank the community whose enthusiasm and support have contributed to the venue’s success.

The anniversary celebration also includes the Stage to Screen Film Series, presented by Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. The free series brings four iconic concert films to the venue’s big screen:

• Stop Making Sense — August 7 and 8
• The Last Waltz — August 14 and 15
• Shine a Light — August 21 and 22
• Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert — August 28

The past year also marked a significant expansion of the Concert Hall’s community impact through its partnership with Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Working alongside professors and Ph.D. students from the Florida State University College of Music, Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall successfully launched the Music Enrichment Program at multiple sites throughout St. Johns County.

The program provides free weekly music enrichment sessions led by board-certified music therapists, creating opportunities for musical expression, confidence, connection, and emotional well-being. Learn more about the Music Enrichment Program.

Following its anniversary celebration, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall will welcome an outstanding fall lineup featuring some of the most respected artists in jazz, folk, Americana, and world music. Upcoming performances include Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Grammy Award-winning vocalist Samara Joy, Indigo Girls, Buena Vista Orchestra, and many more.
